Execution falls on YABATECH as SSANIP grants Rector license

A large staff of Polytechnics of Nigeria, SSANIP, Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), has given the Rector, Mr. Obafemi Omokungbe, an engineer, two weeks to rectify the situation, while the teaching staff has taken some positions for non-teaching staff. as required by law.
The staff, who had a conference on campus last Thursday, listed the conditions under which their team members included the Director, CITM, Director, Works and Services, Director, Physical Planning Unit, Director, Consult and Head of Fire Services.
In their press release at the end of their meeting signed by the President, Mr. Kayode Adekunle Samuel and the Secretary, Mr. Odundayo Kolawole, they stated that many Federal Polytechnics abide by the rules and regulations under which to implement these conditions.
The staff listed Federal Polytechnics which adheres to current regulations to meet these requirements including those in Ado-Ekiti, Bauchi, Offa, Mubi, Bida among others.
They were wondering why YABATECH would not leave.
“The status of the revised policy and the type of staff that should be in these departments / departments is clear and undisputed. The team has written and met with college administrators several times to address this issue.
“The group represented the college committee on this issue on December 27, 2018, February 1, 2019, March 7, 2019, August 14, 2019 and February 25, 2021.
“The team did everything legal to make the management see why and take action, everything was pointless. The head of our team has written to the National Board for Technical Education, NBTE and the national delegation representing NBTE, NBTE wrote to the Rector, Yaba College of Technology in a letter. September 2020, ”Samuel said.
The SSANIP president added that the team would have no choice but to use the necessary manufacturing equipment to get what they want if the deadline does not apply to the situation.
