Osogbo Festival Hosted by Orijin Festivals

The city of Osogbo recently experienced an exhilarating conclusion of the renowned Osun Osogbo Festival, brought to life by the vibrant Orijin festival village. For a full week, the heart of Osogbo pulsed with cultural vigor as thousands of locals and visitors gathered to commemorate the profound and deeply ingrained essence of their heritage.

From August 7 to August 12, the festival immersed attendees in a world of traditions, rituals, and immersive encounters. As a prominent event on the global cultural calendar, the Osun Osogbo Festival showcased the diverse facets of Yoruba culture through music, dance, and resonant chants that echoed through the city’s streets. The climax of this grand celebration was the Orijinal festivals activation held on Saturday, August 12.

The festival grounds vibrated with vitality as Arole Taye Currency took the spotlight. His soul-stirring Fuji tunes deeply moved the audience, kindling a profound sense of cultural pride and unity.

Leading up to the festival’s commencement, Orijin demonstrated its dedication to supporting the local community by providing a grant of N4 million to the Palace of the King.
