Ooni debunks rumour of private jet promises by Sen Adeleke -GCFRNG
Ife’s Ooni, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has denied the rumor that Senator Ademola Adeleke had promised him a gift by private jet.
This is contained in a statement from the Ife Palace Ooni Public Affairs and Media Directorate, Mr. Moses Olafare, and sent to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) on Friday in Ile-Ife.
Olafare warned the general public to ignore a viral report claiming that a candidate for governor of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke, during a courtesy visit on Wednesday, promised to purchase a plane for the Ooni.
She said there is no such report issued from the palace despite the politician’s speech being twisted by some writers with ulterior motives, including dragging the respected Ooni stool through the mud.
The press secretary clarified that the truth could be found in the videos that emanated from the visit.
Olafare added that Ooni’s singular request was a credible, crisis-free choice for the betterment of all, to which the head of the PPD agreed.
According to him, it is the usual character of all candidates for political office and party candidates without exception, including visiting senator Adeleke, to make various promises such as the reconstruction of roads in Ile-Ife and the completion of the Osun state airport project in Ido- Osun, among others.
Sadly, these development vignettes were maliciously ignored in viral news reports.
“On the controversial ‘Private Jet’, it is common knowledge that the Adeleke family has a fleet of private jets that could have been the basis of governance which I hope I have said lightly.
“Royal Father, the private jet that you may need for your trips is available,” he said.
Olafare stated that it is ridiculous to see such a trend of misinformation on supposedly credible news platforms, including national newspapers.
According to him, the Ooni palace wishes to warn the general public not to mistakenly believe the false report, as it is a lie from the abyss of hell.
The press secretary said Adeleke’s visit was not the first and would never be the last political visit to the Ooni and other traditional rulers across the state as we are already approaching the election year in Osun, while other hopefuls, including the incumbent governor, keep coming. to make your promises as usual.
