Fabiyi also criticized a recent statement by a group suggesting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should not field Atiku as a candidate for the next presidential election.
He said the unnamed party had launched a sustainable Media campaignn against Atiku but stressed that no party should have the authority to tell the PDP who would appear as its presidential candidate, Leadership reported.
The statement read parts:
“Atiku is a well-supported and experienced political candidate in Nigeria fighting the APC.”
Fabiyi said the argument that Atiku should be ousted because he is too old to run for office and that the PDP did not win in 2019 because the former vice president of Nigeria was not popular with the Nigerians is a piece of stupidity.
He said Atiku was the only politician who was well prepared to save the city from various challenges including economic situation and insecurity.
According to him, the APC leaders have come up with the necessary ideas to take the country to the desired level.
