Man bites off policeman’s finger in Lagos -GCFRNG
A man, Samuel Jacob, was robbed Tuesday in a Badagry magistrates court.
The defendant was indicted for allegedly biting the index finger of Sergeant Musa Hassan.
Police charged Jacob with assault and inflicting injury, reports NAN.
The prosecutor, ASP Clement Okuiomose, said the defendant committed the crime on October 3, around 11:30 a.m. in Oloko in Badagry.
Jacob is also accused of throwing fire at Hassan while he was fulfilling his legal duty.
The act violated articles 246 and 174 of the Penal Law of the State of Lagos, 2015.
Jacob pleaded “not guilty” when the charges were read.
The chief magistrate, Fadaunsi Adefioye, released him on bail in the amount of N200,000 with two bonds.
The case was postponed until November 11.
