In conversations with Tobi Adegboyega, Obi Cubana urges youths not to give up -GCFRNG
Anambra-born businessman and president of the Cubana group, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has urged young Nigerians not to give up saying that the government should not be fully responsible for what is happening in the country either. He noted that choosing to be positive about life is the best way to grow up and be the best version of him.
The philanthropist and entertainer said this as he gave his Independence Day message when he was questioned by a SPAC Nation pastor, Tobi Adegboyega, during his visit to the clergyman in London.
According to Obi Cubana, “there is hope, things will not be this way forever, and we will not hold the government 100% responsible for what is happening. I have personally decided that I want to do everything I can to promote positivity around me. So when you start to show that positive side, people learn from you; There are a lot of things that when you do it right before you know it they become organic around you and then people look up to you and then they know there is hope.
“In most cases, we see it as a desperate situation and people do what they like, even advanced countries have their own moments and that is why they make the decision to say that enough is enough. Citizens and youth must also be prepared to know that part of us, guidance and everything must begin with us, so that as we grow older, those behind us have something to look at and emulate. We should change the narrative before us and not do things like the ones in front of us. “
Obi Cubana highlighted: “I am a living testimony, there is hope for young people, even if you don’t know what you want to do, as long as you are willing to be directed, a good listener, a quick learner, there is waiting. Nigeria has more than 200 million young populations that are growing. As someone in the entertainment industry, I see many endless opportunities; in hotels, restaurants, music, arts, culture and all that is in the hands of young people. We rule in all aspects of these, so there is hope. “
Speaking about the success of the Cubana brand, he noted that from the beginning, his belief has been based on integrity, hard work and focus. “I was not looking for a business that I would do for a few years, collect the money and voila, we are trying to create brands that survive us and have our children take over, so once they die, the business dies and their children don’t even They are interested. Right now, we are building the Cuban brand to involve all team members, not just our children; Cubana can run without me, that’s why I can be here ”.
When Pastor Adegboyega asked about the expansion of his brand, he reported that by the end of next year, the Cubana group would have established at least two locations in the United Kingdom, adding that in the next decade it will be an acquisition of the brand.
