Ex-governor Dickson Narrates Why He distanced from Bayelsa Governor, Diri’s Administration — GCFRNG
Seriake Dickson, former Bayelsa Governor and current member of parliament representing the Bayelsa West constituency, Seriake Dickson has denied that he and incumbent Governor Douye Diri are at loggerheads.
Dickson revealed that he deliberately stayed away from the current administration as he wanted to give his successor a job.
Dickson has stopped going to government work due to a rift in the duo relationship for some Diri development and an economic forecast that Dickson is not interested in.
But Senator Dickson insists he and Diri are in regular contact, especially on issues related to the development of the state.
Dickson made his announcement during a speech in Sagbama on Saturday during a grand reception to honor officials from Bayelsa West Senatorial District by the PDP state capital.
He delightedly recalled how the PDP won the last gubernatorial election and expressed optimism that the party would continue to win future elections in the state.
The previous governor immediately instructed party members to avoid all forms of division and support the current government, insisting that the PDP can only be strong if it is united.
The senator praised Diri for his development progress, saying he was proud of his successor.
He also thanked the Bayelsa West people for the honor bestowed on him and other leaders of the senate and pledged to continue to serve his people effectively.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, Governor Diri said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members of Bayelsan State still choose to be difficult to win in any election in the state.
Governor Diri said the party was firmly rooted in the state and started a popular project.
The governor appealed to the people of Bayelsa West to remain silent so as to link the implementation of the movement.
He thanked them for the honor bestowed on him and other regional leaders and appealed for their continued support, stressing that only the government could not give the state development.
His Word ”I join all our leaders and especially our leader, Senator Seriake Dickson, and all of us in Bayelsa West who think it is wise to honor you. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. What you have done is honor and respect and you will be seen.
“There is nothing we can do to repay you. Only God can pay you back.
“By the grace of God, the PDP is still the party that will win in Bayelsa State. Today is not a campaign day but a day of unity.
“Do not divide the house because you will have an appointed time. This is a family, and we are to be multiplied. We do that and welcome criminals and returnees to their ranks. ”
In a separate statement, PDP state chairman Solomon Agwana, Bayelsa West party leader, Chief TKO Okorotie, Chief Fyneman Wilson and Michael Magbisa all praised Governor Diri and Bayelsa West leaders for their service to the region. the.
