BBNaija S6 fallout: Saga never asked me out, says Nini -GCFRNG

Saga and Nini’s romance made headlines during Big Brother Naija’s recently concluded reality TV show “Shine Ya Eye.” Last week we told you about Saga’s thoughts on Nini and we concluded it with Nini’s thoughts on Saga as well. Enjoy:

How has life been away from home?

Life outside of Big Brother’s house has been truly overwhelming; love has been overwhelming and i’m still trying to find a balance. I am grateful for the love and I appreciate it all. Life away from home has been different and I am still trying to find a balance and enjoying every part of it.

You spent nine weeks in the house, did you ever regret being in the house considering that you once said you were a very private person before venturing into BBNAIJA?

While I was in the Big Brother House, it felt really timely, considering that I knew that thousands of people had auditioned, and I was chosen out of a thousand people, and I was truly grateful. There was no time to regret it. He lived each day as it came and there was no time for regrets. I, being a private person, did not change anything; because I knew that out of a thousand people they had chosen me. So I didn’t have time to regret anything, since I spent every day at the house thanking them for choosing me.

Nini, how is your relationship with Saga after BBNaija?

My relationship with Saga is the same, we are still very good friends, and yes, we are great.

Saga has been giving interviews since they were both evicted, and in one particular interview, he quoted Saga saying that he never loved you as much as people thought, do you think he’s being honest?

Honestly, yes, Saga and I had a mutual friendship, and we both understood each other, but when we left, people made it seem like it was a one-person thing, maybe he was giving me energy and I was not giving him the same energy. Energy. . Look, it was a mutual friendship, and I gave him back the same energy that he gave me. So yeah (he was honest).

People believe that both you and Saga were paired by Biggie from day one, to play “Romeo and Juliet” on the show to give viewers content, how true is this statement?

(Laughs) First of all, that’s really bad, because you don’t get a script for the House of Big Brother. It is a reality show; go there and be yourself. So Big Brother didn’t give us any scripts.

In an interview you gave to a sister media agency, you expressed regret for playing with Saga’s mental health, especially when Biggie asked you to disappear for 24 hours, have you made peace with your conscience and with Saga, regarding this ?

Yeah, Saga and I talked about it, and I told him I’m sorry, considering the fact that I couldn’t apologize to him on the show because he still had to get on with my homework. So, I talked to Saga and he understood that why I had to put the little effect that I did was because we had failed in a Big Brother task, and he did not want us to fail in another, and we saw the punishment that came with failing in that task. So I knew I had to put in a bit of effort in this task and Saga understood and even appreciated my effort and was happy that I did not fail in this task. So, we are good on that front.

Do you have strong emotional feelings for Saga?

I really like Saga, Saga is my friend. Yeah, I really like it, and we’re cool, and that’s it.

While at the house, it was reported that he kept mentioning that he had a boyfriend to Saga. If it’s true, why did you keep saying that to dissuade him?

I never kept mentioning that Saga had a boyfriend in the first place, because there was absolutely no need for that, and that’s because Saga got it. We understand our friendship and our limits, and there was absolutely no need for him to remind her that he had a boyfriend. We both knew it, and he was a very respectful man to me, and there was no need for me to always say that to him because he respected limits and I respected his limits, so we were good.

A fan once opined on Instagram that after the show, you’d stop playing hard to get Saga and even hang out with him and more. Is there a possibility of this happening?

First of all, I wasn’t playing hard to get Saga, we had a mutual friendship. Saga never asked me out, so I didn’t have to play hard, because nobody wanted to catch me, and Saga never said he wanted to go out with me. So, he wasn’t playing hard to get it.
