Gold dealer gunned down by armed robbers –

A gold dealer has been gunned down by suspected armed robbers in the Eastern Region.

The incident occurred Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Akyem Akrofufu in the Atiwa West District.

According to a resident, the deceased, Kofi Krobo, a licensed gold buyer was shot by the suspected armed robber in the evening while entering his room after closing from work.

The robbers reportedly absconded with unspecified quantities of gold and an amount of money.

The Kwarbeng District Police command has commenced an investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue.
The deceased was married with two young children- a boy and a girl.
